Description of Experience: (as described by witness)

I don’t usually talk about this kind of thing, but I can’t stop replaying it in my head.

I was walking back to my car when I noticed three lights hovering above the city. They were perfectly aligned in a triangle. At first I assumed they were drones, but they weren’t behaving like drones. The lights didn’t blink — they pulsed, in this steady rhythm, almost like a heartbeat.

Everything around me got unnervingly quiet. It wasn’t just that people stopped talking — the air itself felt heavy, like sound was being swallowed. I pulled out my phone to record, but the screen froze on a black frame and refused to open the camera until it was over.

The lights rotated together, as if the triangle was turning in the sky. Then they began to drift downward — slowly, deliberately — until they stopped just above the treeline. I swear I could feel something in my chest, like a vibration that didn’t come from sound but from inside my body.

And then, in an instant, they shot upward at a speed I can’t even describe. One moment they were hovering, the next they were gone. The entire sky looked empty, as if nothing had ever been there.

When I checked the time, it was 9:34. I know for a fact it had only felt like a few minutes, maybe four or five, but somehow half an hour had passed.

The streetlights around Riverside flickered and went out for a short while. People glanced around, confused, but no one said anything. Everyone just carried on like it hadn’t happened.

I’m not sure what I saw. I just know I lost time, and I can’t shake the feeling that it noticed me noticing it.
